Sunset on Lake Pend oreille 5"x7" oil on panel

I don't often do sunsets but I couldn't resist the silhouette of the boats,  and the play of the reflection in between them.

This turned out nice. Love all of the silhouettes of the boats, masts, etc......and especially that nice hit of blueish green on the boat.

Aaron,

The vertical composition makes it. Sunsets are only cliche if you do them like everyone else does. Not an issue for you . . .

Sometimes I judge a song by the emotions they bring to me inside. This painting hit me that way. I don't know what it was but when I first saw it I can't explain the feeling it brought. I keep saying this about your paintings but this is one of my favorites. And like Jacqueline said it's not your standard sunset. It is way more than that. John
